All NBHA Rules ARE IN EFFECT except for the following modifications approved by headquarters.
If you are not aware of NBHA rules, please contact office staff who will provide you with a rule book.
Ignorance of the rules is not a defense. It is your responsibility to know the rules prior to running
1. Hat & long sleeved shirts optional Boots, jeans Mandatory: Pleae no tube tops, tanks are okay
2. Little Wranglers, Jr. Barrels and Novice Divisions are not sanctioned and do not require a membership:
3. District points will be kept separate from National
A. District points will be on a 10 points system. Only Az01 member will receive points.
B. National Points are on a 5 points system. Only Azo1 members will receive points. C. Non-az01 members running in our district will not receive points and will only be listed on the results page as NM Non-az01 members can not qualify for our year end awards. You must designate to Az01 district by Jan. 9, 2010 to qualify for AZ01 awards. if you designate mid-season that is where your points start. 4. Must attend 9 of the 18 shows to qualify for year end awards
5. Must attend all shows to qualify for Avg. year end awards: knocked over barrel will be a penality of 5 sec. but leaves you in Avg.
6. Knocked over barrel will be a no time for purpose of day money per NBHA rules and regulations.
7. Novice Division: Rider only
A. Three years or less riding experiance
B. If your first run out in Novice Division would have placed you in the Open/youth 4D, you will be moved out of Novice. This division is only for beginning riders.
8. Entries can be paid with cash or check
A. ENF $50 fee + pay in cash for remainder of your membership
B. If you do not pay fees + FINE within 10 days of notification you will be turned over to County Attorney for prosecution and suspension from NBHA
2010 Year end and Average awards
There will be two (2) open avg. saddles up for grabs and one(1) Youth avg. saddle
1st Open Saddle: fastest avg. times of all runs
2nd Open Saddle: 2 seconds added to fastest avg. time of all runs
Youth saddle: fastest avg. time of all runs
Breast collars: fastest avg. time of all runs each divisions
Senior Avg. Breast collar
LW: Avg. Breast Collar
Jr: Avg. Breast Collar
Novice Avg. Breast Collar
open and youth must pay a $30 saddle fee
Senior, Lw, Jr & Novice must pay $20 avg. awards fee
AWARDS FEES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN Jan. 9th, 2010
Must be NBHA AZ01 member to qualify
The above awards are to reward those who attend all shows and are az01 members
We will also have the year end awards for those who are members and attended 9 of the 18 shows.
******just a note: on Avg. saddles...anyone can win theses as it is based off your average time after all 18 runs. Plus, for open we are adding 2 full seconds to the fastest avg. time for the 2nd saddle. Remember if you add 5 seconds to a 1D time, that just moved them down to last place behind the 4D runners. 5 Seconds is a lot of time to make up, so anyone can really win these saddles.
I know I have never ran a full season without hitting a barrel, how bout you!!!!!!!
